Our Story
We took over the reins at The Waggon & Horses in early 2024 and we closed for a 4 week Refurbishment in mid-March, reopening just in time for the famous Craven Sales & Race Meeting in mid-April.
We are delighted to be part of the thriving community here in Newmarket and look forward to being here for many years to come.
Our Pub
When doing the refurbishment of The Waggon & Horses, we tried to respect the heritage and history of the pub in as sympathetic a way as possible.
While at the same time, we also wanted to give the pub some much need TLC with a modern, premium twist which ensures that the pub provides a quality environment for our customers to enjoy every occasion.
Our Drinks
We stock a wide range of Drinks, both Alcoholic & Non-Alcoholic, which should satisfy even the most discerning of palettes. We've got a great selection of Draft Beers, including Premium Lagers, Cask Ales & Craft options.
We stock Wines & Spirits from across the world, including a good selection of Whiskeys & other premium spirits. We also work in partnership with a local supplier, Edmunds, to provide a selection of high quality Cocktails.
Our Food
The Waggon is well known amongst locals & visitors alike for it's high quality selection of Breakfasts but that's not all we do - We also offer a range of pub classics such as Ham, Egg & Chips, Pies, Jacket Potatoes, Chilli Con Carne, Paninis, Hot Sandwiches, Sunday Roasts & much more... So whatever you're in the mood for, we have you covered.

Whether it's our Weekly Tuesday Quiz Night, Karaoke Thursday's, our Friday DJ's or our Live Music Saturday's - We've always got something on to keep our valued customers entertained here @ The Waggon!
